Ever since the internet came along and totally destroyed the way we used to listen to and discover music, I’ve been without that incredible feeling of picking up a record at random and finding it to be totally amazing once I got it home.
I think part of me has been unconsciously trying to recapture that. I’ve made a point to go record shopping every single weekend over the last month and pad my safer music purchases with a couple of “I’m not so sure about these.” And I’ve pretty much failed miserably. In my collection now resides unlistenable drone, tons of schreeeeeching sounds, and just a bunch of nonsense. Read more

For some reason, the sleeper hit of Summer ’07 is making its rounds amongst my friends again. And when I think about it, it all starts to make sense. I mean, who doesn’t need a little REAL TALK in their lives right now?
I just wasn’t prepared for how REAL things get at the end of this “behind the scenes.” Too much tweakin! Not enough turning the camera off! And who gets to keep the Bedazzler in the break up?
